Version 1.0, 15 September 2026. Effective date: on publication by CivicPool; the current version is shown in the app and the console.
CivicPool is operated by a partnership of African Wood Inc. (United States and Kenya), African Wood Limited (England and Wales) and Dhamana Technologies Limited (Kenya), together "CivicPool", "we", "us" and "our".
This statement describes CivicPool's commitment to accessibility across the web app, the officer/administrator console, and the companion mobile app, and where the platform currently stands against that commitment. It was adopted under founder decision 38 (15 September 2026).
CivicPool is committed to making the web app and the console conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, and to making the companion mobile app conform to the platform accessibility guidelines of iOS (Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for Accessibility) and Android (Google's Accessibility guidelines), including support for VoiceOver and TalkBack screen readers and dynamic type sizing (docs/CivicPool-Companion-App.md). This commitment applies to every surface members and officers use: enrollment, sign-in, payments, claims and evidence upload, and the officer/administrator console and dashboards.
The platform is under active development and has not yet reached full conformance. Known limitations as of this version:
CivicPool does not claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance today. This statement will be updated as each limitation is resolved.
Per the companion app's delivery plan (docs/CivicPool-Companion-App.md, milestone M5), CivicPool commits to a formal accessibility audit — covering the web app, the console, and the companion app on both iOS and Android — before the companion app's public store release and before any tenant's first live call on the platform. The audit will assess conformance against WCAG 2.2 AA and platform-specific accessibility guidelines, and its findings will be remediated or explicitly tracked as known limitations in an updated version of this statement.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier using CivicPool — on the web app, the console, or the companion app — please tell us. Please include the page or screen, the assistive technology you were using (if any), and a description of the problem; we will acknowledge your report and aim to provide a timeline for a fix or a workaround. Write to support@proton.com.
This statement is reviewed at least annually, and additionally whenever a formal accessibility audit (§ 3) is completed or a material change is made to the web app, console, or companion app's user interface. Each review updates the version line at the top of this document.
